Chris Gruar beard

Dear all,

Approximately 10 months ago Chris Gruar – a lovely, clean shaven man left the UK on a mission to cycle to Australia to raise money for the Association of International Cancer Research (AICR).

Said man now has a VERY hairy beard attached to his face!! He resembles a human-gorilla hybrid, a Yeti-Man.

We propose that if we raise £500 within 30 days, Chris should by default be FORCED to shave of his beard!!

Please help free Chris’ face by donating to his fundraising page (remember to make reference to the beard)

Please also like, comment on and share this page to help convince Chris to SHAVE!!!!!

“FORCED” to shave?! The man’s cycling from the UK to Australia to raise money for cancer research; leave him – AND HIS BEARD – the [bleep] alone! I hope people donate to his effort and tell him to KEEP the beard!

This is aside from the fact that his face IS free – this is what happens when an adult male just leaves his face alone. The fact that some people find this so awful is what’s truly horrifying.

I’m very sorry to hear that you are ‘horrified’ by a light-hearted fundraising campaign and am somewhat flabbergasted by your reaction. However I hope you share our delight that this campaign has helped to raise over £200 for cancer research in itself.

His beard has now been shaved ahead of schedule by the way. Actually not as a result of the campaign, but because Chris was unfortunately robbed and beaten and said his unkempt appearance meant he found it extremely difficult to get help.

As Chris and I are close friends, I can assure you that the very last thing he needs while undertaking this epic journey is to “leave him the [bleep] alone.” I shall therefore continue to support him however I can – including further publicity drives which both raise funds for the valuable cause he believes in and helps him feel that little bit more connected to his friends who are thinking of him back home.
